Lawley Middleway
A new bridge will be constructed to carry the high speed train over the Lawley Middleway dual carriageway. The bridge is being built offline to minimise disruption and length of road closures.
The road will require a full over night closure when the bridge is ready to slide over the Lawley Middleway dual carriageway. During this time, a diversion will be in place and access will be maintained to Landor Street.
From Monday 27 May to Sunday 16 June 2024, a single lane and the footpath will be closed on Lawley Middleway northbound. Once these works are complete, the lane and footpath will be reopened. Subsequently, the single lane and the footpath will be closed on Lawley Middleway southbound.
During this time, a single lane will be open for traffic and pedestrians will be directed to the footpath on the other side of Lawley Middleway. Lawley Middleway northbound will remain fully open.
