A46 Binley Junction
Ends: ongoing
Last updated: 18 March 2022

What’s happening?
The A46 is an important road link between the East and West Midlands, connecting Coventry and Warwickshire to the motorway network.
The scheme, managed by National Highways and Coventry City Council, includes building a flyover to separate local and commuter traffic at the locally-known TGI island near Binley.
Work to develop plans for Walsgrave junction, the second phase of the A46 Coventry Junctions scheme, is continuing.
Why is this happening?
Approximately £61 million is being invested in the first phase of the A46 Coventry Junctions upgrade project. Aiming to transform stop-start journeys for commuters whilst also giving an economic boost to the region.
When the new-look junction opens in 2022, motorists will enjoy improved journey times and increased road safety, making connectivity across the Midlands better.
