Brierley Hill Town Centre Improvement works

Ends: ongoing

Last updated: 26 July 2023

What’s happening?

Dudley Council are carrying out improvement works in Brierley Hill town centre in a bid to improve the area.

To carry out the roadworks, which are set to begin on Sunday 8 January and last until winter 2024, there will be a closure in place from the Bank Street intersection to the Venture Way intersection.

In addition, parts of the High Street will be accessible one-way only heading towards Dudley.

Diversion signs to help direct drivers onto an alternative route will be in place, with no access to Cottage Street from the High Street throughout the duration of the works.

Temporary bus stops have been introduced near Level Street car park and outside the college on Venture Way as the bus stops on the Brierley Hill Market Hall side of the road will be suspended for the first phase of the works.

However, the bus stops on the Moor Centre side of High Street will continue to operate in their normal location.
