What’s happening?
Major transport improvements are happening in the east of Birmingham and Solihull area. These include:
- HS2 - Britain’s new high-speed railway
- improvements to junction 6 of the M42
- the new Sprint bus route along the A45
During the work, the way you travel in the area will change. There will be disruption to:
- junction 6 of the M42
- the A452
- the A446
- the A45
A452 Chester Road, Birmingham
Utility diversions on the A452 Chester Road will be taking place between Spitfire
Island and Castle Bromwich Interchange. Access to Castle Bromwich Business
Park will also be maintained throughout the works.
There are ongoing phased lane closures in place for 24 hours with disruption to traffic.
Delays to journey times in this area are expected.
During these works, the bus stop will be suspended. Please use alternative bus stops in the local area.
