M6 J10
Wolverhampton Road
Ends: Ongoing
Last updated: 2 December 2023

What’s happening?
Walsall Council is working with National Highways to improve Junction 10 of the M6 motorway.
M6 junction 10 is of strategic importance within the Black Country and the wider region, it is on a busy route between Walsall and Wolverhampton. The junction is often heavily congested, reducing the attractiveness of the local area for business and investment, including within the nearby Black Country Enterprise Zone.
The new junction roundabout is now fully installed with the old South and North bridges being successfully demolished earlier this year in the Spring.
Resurfacing work has been continuing on the gyratory and surrounding roads throughout the summer.
There are still some overnight closures scheduled on motorway entry and exit slip roads, other junctions of the M6 as well as some local roads.
For further information and annotated maps, please visit the National Highways webpage.
Allow more time for your journey if travelling around this location.

Could you change the time of your journey?. Avoid travelling during peak times wherever possible. Plan ahead, check timetables or apps and leave more time for your journey as services will be busier.
