From Friday 16 July to Monday 19 July work will take place to install concrete beams for a new bridge being built within the Birchfield Island area.

To install the beams safely, the A34 will be closed with the underpass in both directions and parts of the Birchfield Roundabout being closed.

Closures will be in place from 7pm on Friday 16 July until 6am on Monday 19 July

This will affect traffic on Aston Lane, Wellington Road and the A34.

Travel tips

You will still be able to get to where you need to go, but consider the following:

Plan ahead and leave more time for your journey. If you travel, you’ll need more time for your journey to take account of changes and diversions.
Could you change the time of your journey?. Avoid travelling during peak times wherever possible. Plan ahead, check timetables or apps and leave more time for your journey as services will be busier.
