What’s happening?
Sprint is a bus priority corridor that will link Walsall with the centre of Birmingham, Solihull and Birmingham Airport - joining the A34 with the A45 to create one continuous bus route.
Sprint will bring benefits for all bus passengers: providing more reliable, regular and predictable journey times, connecting our region and protecting our environment too.
A milestone project, Sprint is being delivered by Transport for West Midlands and forms part of the region-wide ambition to improve the public transport experience.
A45 Small Heath Highway
From Thursday 17 March there will be a series of weekend closures (Thursday to Tuesday) in order to carry out resurfacing works.
Thursday 17 March (8pm) to Tuesday 22 March (6am)
- Poets Corner to Heybarnes Circus outbound towards Birmingham airport will be closed.
- Inbound from Heybarnes Circus to Poets Corner remains open.
Thursday 24 March (8pm) to Tuesday 29 March (6am)
- Poets Corner to Bordesley Circus inbound towards Birmingham city centre will be closed.
- Outbound from Bordesley Circus to Poets Corner remains open.
Thursday 31 March (8pm) to Tuesday 5 April (6am)
- Bordesley Circus to Poets Corner outbound towards Birmingham airport will be closed.
- Inbound from Poets Corner to Bordesley Circus remains open.
