Cycling is a great way to keep active. You can still join in if you’re disabled or have extra needs.
There are lots of ways to get involved across the West Midlands. Ride Ahead Together was set up to bring all the inclusive cycling opportunities together.
Cycling for all ages, abilities and needs
Parkride gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy cycling. You can ride adapted and mainstream bikes for free. It does not matter how old you are - there are sessions for families, over 50s and for adults. Sessions are available in locations across Birmingham - why not give it a go through one of their regular Tri Cycle sessions?
Families and carers can also enjoy cycling together at Wheels for All sessions:
An instructor will lead the session. There’s a full range of adapted bikes for people of all ages, including children and elderly people.
Improve your cycling skills
If you want to improve your skills, you can try a Cycling with Confidence course. These are run by the Parkride team. They are for anyone over the age of 16. You can use a mainstream bike or an adapted bike.
