A Message From Simon
A mother shares the words her son never got to say, urging his friends to drive with care:
Dear lads,
I didn’t want to leave you or my family. There was so much fun to be had, adventures to go on. I was enjoying college, work, enjoying life.
On 14 March 2025 I should have been safe and respected as a passenger, my safety should have been paramount. That didn’t factor into the mindset or actions of the driver. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and without a doubt I would not have got in that car had I known.
I’m sorry you had to witness the aftermath of the crash, the trauma you witness, I would never wish that on you.
You must all promise me one thing. Drive carefully. Respect every life that sits in your car. Look after yourselves, my Mom, Dad and Matthew. Support any safeguarding changes they may contribute to, it will save lives. Live your life to the full. Love and miss you all.
Simon.
