The Hole You Left Behind

A husband grieving his wife and daughter urges drivers to understand the consequences of inattention:

My dearest Glo,

My heart breaks. Life is so lonely and empty since you were snatched from me because of a car driver’s moment of inattention, which killed you and our daughter, Dawn. If he could understand the massive hole in my life left because of his actions, he’d have taken more care when driving, but so many drivers never think of the possible effects their driving can cause, or maybe don’t even care.

Everyone needs to drive more carefully, ensuring their eyesight is good and they’re fit mentally and physically. If they did, far fewer loved ones would be slaughtered on our roads.

I get some solace by remembering the joys of our 42 years together.
