What’s happening?
Coventry City Football Club Parade and We Are Back: LIVE – Monday 4th May
Coventry City Football Club (CCFC) have been promoted back into the Premier League. To celebrate, there will be an official open-top bus parade through the streets of Coventry and a music festival in War Memorial Park, Coventry on Monday 4th May.
- The parade will commence from the Coventry Building Society (CBS) Arena - and travel along the A444, progressing through Holbrooks, Keresley Heath, Radford, Coundon, Chapelfields, and Hearsall Common by approximately 16:00 allowing a sufficient dispersal period between the parade and further celebrations at War Memorial Park.
- We Are Back: LIVE - ticketed event at War Memorial Park, a short walk from the city centre. The event takes place between 13:00-19:00.
Road closures will be in place throughout the day, with alterations to bus and rail services. A high demand for public transport is anticipated.
You will still be able to get to where you need to go, but you'll need to plan in advance and allow more time for your journey with diversions in place.
Travelling by Bus
To allow the safe movement of people, various buses will be diverted on the day. Bus operators will operate a Sunday service for the Bank Holiday Monday.
National Express West Midlands will provide an enhanced frequency service between 11:00-22:00 to support the movement of fans between Pool Meadow Bus Station, Coventry Rail Station and War Memorial Park. Additionally, other bus operators will be amending their services to keep people moving.

Travelling by Rail
Rail services to/from Coventry will likely see a significant uplift in passengers, particularly on the Elephant and Bear line (Royal Leamington Spa - Nuneaton via Coventry). Bank Holiday timetables will be in operation.
Extra staff will be present at stations to assist passengers with their journeys.
