NHS Giveaway: Terms & Conditions
1. Organiser
This competition is organised by Transport for West Midlands, an organisation based at 16 Summer Lane, Birmingham, B19 3SD.
2. Eligibility
- The competition is open to UK residents aged 16 and over who are employed by the NHS.
- Employees or volunteers of the organiser may participate but are not eligible to win prizes.
- Only one entry per person is permitted.
3. Competition Period
- The competition runs from Thursday 13 November 2025 to Monday 15 November 2025 at 11:59pm GMT.
- Entries received outside this period will not be considered.
4. How to Enter
- Participants are asked to log information about their active travel journeys (e.g., walking, cycling) via the Transport for West Midlands website.
- Entries must be submitted by Monday 15 November 2025 at 11:59pm GMT.
5. Prizes
- Winners will receive a Fitbit device (model subject to availability).
- No cash alternative is available.
- Prizes are non-transferable and subject to availability.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
- Winners will be selected from a random draw.
- Winners will be notified via email within 14 days of the competition closing.
- If a winner does not respond within 7 days, a new winner may be selected.
7. Data Protection and Privacy
Personal data collected (e.g., name, email, travel information) will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) 2003.
- Data will be used solely for the administration of the competition and will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent.
- Participants have the right to:
- Access their personal data.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of their data.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
How to Withdraw Consent
Participants may withdraw their consent at any time without detriment. To do so:
- Email: Send a request to ActiveTravelGiveaway@tfwm.org.uk with the subject line “Consent Withdrawal – Active Travel Competition”.
- Post: Write to Behaviour Change Hub, West Midlands Combined Authority, 16 Summer Lane, Birmingham, B19 3SD stating your full name and the nature of your request.
Upon receipt of a valid withdrawal request:
- All processing of personal data based on consent will cease immediately.
- Any data not required for legal or operational purposes will be securely deleted.
- Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Participants will receive confirmation of their withdrawal within 14 days.
8. Electronic Communications (PECR Compliance)
- By entering, participants consent to receive competition-related communications via email or SMS.
- Marketing communications will only be sent with explicit opt-in consent.
- Participants may withdraw consent at any time by contacting ActiveTravelGiveaway@tfwm.org.uk
9. General Conditions
- The organiser reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time.
- The organiser is not responsible for entries not received due to technical issues.
- By entering, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
