Customer Account - System Update

We want to inform you about upcoming changes to your account and encourage you to take action promptly.

During an upgrade to your customer account, which you currently use to buy and manage your Swift products, there will be a brief period when you will be unable to sign in.

This means that Swift's online sales will not be available. However, customers can still make purchases using Payzone and Ticket Machines (Swift and Metro Machines) during this time.

We’ll confirm the dates later via email, so you can plan accordingly and avoid disruptions.

To ensure you receive our emails, please sign up for our mailing list.

We recommend buying your products before the upgrade begins to avoid any delays. Until then, please continue traveling as normal.

We will update this page regularly with the latest progress on the account upgrade. Please check back often for the most current information.

TfWM is upgrading the system that you use to buy your tickets and manage your Swift account. These upgrades will make sure the system runs better and help things work more smoothly for you now and in the future.

We’ve listened to your feedback and made improvements to make your account easier to use and more helpful - so you can get things done faster and with less hassle.

We know how important security and reliability are to you.  This upgrade will ensure we achieve the high standards we have set for our customers, and you expect.

We also know that our current system has let you down at times. The upgrades will ensure that these issues don’t happen again and are part of our ongoing commitment to improving your experience.

To perform the upgrade, we will need to take the system offline. Additionally, you will need to take a few steps when logging in for the first time. We will share more about this in a future email.

While the system is being upgraded, your account will be offline for up to 5 days.

During this time, you will NOT be able to:

  • Purchase tickets through the website or the TfWM app
  • Use the app to collect new products on an existing Swift card

You WILL be able to:

  • Purchase new tickets via Ticket Machines (not Swift Go)
  • Purchase new tickets via Payzone Outlets
  • Collect existing products via Ticket Machines
  1. Take a moment to double-check that all your personal details in your account, like your name, email, and postal code, are correct. This helps ensure that you receive all important information and that everything is up-to-date and accurate for you.

  1. Please keep an eye out for future emails so that you know when the changes will happen and what this means for you.

Yes, you can still purchase tickets from:

  • Ticket Machines (find your nearest location on our website)
  • Select Payzone outlets to top up existing Swift cards (find your nearest location on our website)
  • Bus and Tram services (paper tickets available only)
  • Train stations (paper tickets available only)

Payzone: outlets do not offer collection facilities.

Ticket Machines: You will not be able to top up Swift Go during the upgrade.

You will also be able to use Ticket Machines to collect products purchased online before the upgrade.

If your Swift card was issued by National Express, please contact them directly at nxbus.co.uk. However, these FAQs still apply to you.

If you're unsure who issued your card:

  • Check the back of your Swift card for issuer details.
  • National Express Swift cards start with the number 633597 0112 on the front.
