Aston Villa Football Club are facing SC Freiburg in the UEFA Europe League final away at Istabul, Turkey on Wednesday 20 May 2026 at 20:00.
To celebrate the final win, there will be a parade taking place in the streets of Birmingham City Centre on Thursday 21 May from 16:00 onwards.
Travelling by bus
buses will change their routes during the day and some may be closed. there will be temporary bus stops from 9:45-22:00.
National Express West Midlands bus services 8A, 8C, 829, 9, 126, X10, X8, 822, 12, 13, 23, 24, 82,87,101, will be affected and may not stop in their usual place.

Travelling by West Midlands Metro
From the start of service, a normal service is expected to be in operation between Wolverhampton Station and Edgbaston Village until further notice.
*Trams are expected to operate only between Wolverhampton Station and Bull Street/Grand Central, subject to possible service changes and final confirmation of times and stops from West Midlands Metro.
There are no planned metro works that is expected to cause a disruption to service.

There are no planned train disruption for for 21 May.
Road closures and parking suspensions
There will be a number of road closures and parking suspensions, including the following roads:
Branston Street, Hall Street, Warstone Lane, Frederick Street, Albion Street, Powell Street, Summer Hill Road, Sand Pits, Clement Street, St Vincent Street, Sheepcote Street, Grosvenor Street West, Ryland Street, Broad Street and Centenary Square.
The roads will be closed from around 10:00 in the morning until about 22:00 at night. They may open earlier if it's safe.
Access to some car parks and buildings on these roads might be hard to get to during this time.
Travelling by car
The roads in Birmingham will be much busier than normal because of a parade and some road closures.
If you’re going into the city, it’s a good idea to use buses, trains, or trams instead of driving.
Places such as Digbeth, Holloway Circus and near the parade route will be very crowded with cars and lots of people walking around. There may also be extra delays in some areas because of roadworks.
Car parks in the city might be full, and access to the Bullring car park will be restricted. It’s better to park outside the city and take public transport if you can.
