Instead of jumping in the car, try these alternatives to avoid matchday traffic.
By Shuttle Bus:
Aston Villa Park has introduced a new city centre shuttle bus service to help supporters travel more easily and efficiently to and from Villa Park on matchdays. The buses can be used by both home and away supporters and tickets can be purchased with cash or card from the bus driver.
Run by Stagecoach, the AV82 shuttle will pick up from outside Birmingham New Street Station on Dudley Street, running direct to Villa Park.
Buses will run at regular intervals, starting three hours before kick-off for every home fixture. Buses will depart from Grosvenor Road and run back to Birmingham New Street at regular intervals for up to two hours after the final whistle for every game.

By bus:
Travelling from the City Centre?
NX 7 provides a popular link to the city centre. This service has a stop close to the Stadium, at Witton Square. The service departs from the city centre from outside Great Western Arcade/Snow Hill Station at Stop SH6. Services run into the evening on weekdays and Sundays. Please note this route is very popular after matches, so please be patient when waiting for a service.
An alternative route would be to walk to the A34, where you can catch the NX 907 Platinum from the Bragg Road stop which takes 15 minutes back to the city centre. This route has limited stops and uses bus lanes to speed up your journey. NX 33 and 51 leave from the same stop and take 20 minutes to get to the city centre.
Travelling from north of the stadium?
If you are travelling from Oscott, Kingstanding, routes 934, 935, 936, 937 or 997 Platinum provide options to get to the match. The bus will drop you a 20 minute walk from the stadium at One Stop Shopping Centre.
Are you travelling from Erdington, Stockland Green or Gravelly Hill? The outer circle route, NX 11A/C provides a link to Witton Station. Alternatively, NX 65 runs to Lichfield Road with a 15-minute walk to the stadium.
Travelling from east or west of the stadium?
If you are travelling from Castle Vale NX 67 provides a link from Lichfield Road, which is a 15-minute walk from the stadium. The service runs every 15 to 20 minutes including on weekday evenings and Sundays.
Alternatively, the outer circle route, NX 11A/C provides a wider link to the east and west of the city from Witton Station.
By rail:
Witton Station
Witton Station is a five-minute walk to Villa Park and provides frequent services to Birmingham New Street and Rugeley via Walsall.
If you are heading to Birmingham City Centre after a match, all southbound trains will call at Birmingham New Street – these are likely to be busy, so please be patient. Consider walking to Aston Station, as from here there are more frequent trains to Birmingham New Street.

Aston Station
Aston Station is a 15-minute walk to Villa Park and is served by two different rail lines, meaning services to the city centre are more frequent. These routes connect the station to Lichfield, Rugeley, Redditch and Bromsgrove, as well as Birmingham New Street.
If you are heading to Birmingham City Centre after a match, all southbound trains will call at Birmingham New Street, these are frequent but are likely to busy, so please be patient.

Consider cycling or walking
Do you live locally or travelling from the city centre? Using the segregated blue route along the A34 from the city centre, provides a 15-minute link to Villa Park. Cycle Parking is available at Villa Park behind the Villa Village where the store and ticket office are located.
The West Midlands Cycle Hire scheme is available along A34 with bike docks located in the city centre and a short walk from the stadium. Download the Beryl app to get started.
Accessible Parking
A number of car parking spaces are available at Villa Park for permit holders only. Residents’ parking zones are in operation on match days on surrounding streets, these are enforced with a parking fine.
