How to get to Molineux Stadium Wolverhampton

Molineux Stadium, Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton, WV1 4QR

Molineux Stadium is home to Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, Wolves Museum and is also an events venue in Wolverhampton. The stadium can hold 30,000 fans. The Stadium is located in Wolverhampton City Centre a short walk from the train and bus stations and also West Midlands Metro so is in an ideal location to access using public transport. It has excellent walking links from transport stations making it easily accessible.

Molineux is located in the centre of Wolverhampton, a short 15 minute train from central Birmingham.

Consider using public transport

There are many transport options available to get to the Molineux whether you are attending a match, the museum or an event.

By train:

Wolverhampton Station is the nearest train station and is a seven minute walk from Molineux Stadium. There are excellent connections across the West Midlands and further afield.

By bus:

Wolverhampton bus station is located in the city centre next to the train station. There is also a bus stop right outside Molineux and the National Express West Midlands service numbers 3, 4, 5, 5a, 62 and 62a serve the Molineux Stadium.

By metro:

Wolverhampton Station is one of the nearest metro stops and is a 15 minute walk from Molineux Stadium. On Monday to Saturday, there are trams:

  • every 15 minutes between 4.45am and 7am
  • every 6 to 8 minutes during the day
  • every 15 minutes between 7pm and 0.45am

On Sundays there are trams every 15 minutes between 7.30am and 11.45pm.

Consider Cycling or Walking

Wolverhampton now has more dedicated cycle lanes making cycling a great option. There is cycle parking available directly in front of the ticket office which is located at the stadium on Waterloo Road in between the Stan Cullis and Billy Wright stands.

The West Midlands Cycle Hire scheme is now live in Wolverhampton with bike docks located in the city centre and a short walk from the stadium;  https://www.wmcyclehire.co.uk/

The Molineux is only a short walk from the town centre so walking is a good option if you are local to the ground, or if you are arriving by bus or train into the town centre. For more information please click here
