What is the October half term offer?

Parents across the West Midlands can enjoy 7 days of unlimited bus travel from Monday 27 October to Sunday 2 November 2025.

How do I apply?

Applications are open from 6–13 October, click here to sign up for an email reminder when applications open.

To receive your Swift card, you’ll need to complete the application form during the application period.

Who is eligible?

New or returning bus users
Any parent, guardian or carer in the West Midlands can apply (standard eligibility criteria apply)
Each parent must apply individually
You must be travelling with a child
One ticket per adult (standard nBus conditions apply)

Can both parents apply?

Yes - both parents are welcome to apply, but each must submit an individual application for this offer.

Can I get more free travel?

After your free week ends, you can purchase an additional week of travel at 25% discount.

Do children travel free too?

This offer applies to parents only. Children will need to travel with their usual tickets. However, children aged over 5 and under 16 can get 50% off the adult fare with a Swift Child Photocards.

Will grandparents who provide childcare be able to use this?

Yes - the eligibility criteria includes guardians and carers, which covers grandparents who are responsible for looking after children.

Why can't you get on with a child?

This particular offer is available through our partner, Swift and only applies to parents/carers or guardians. Children are still required to purchase a valid ticket. We're always working on new promotions, so stay tuned for future offers that may include free or discounted travel for children as well.
