Longbridge - Hamstead
The Cross City Bus Longbridge – Hamstead route is looking at changes to the roads along the route that is used by the 45 and 47 bus services (along the A441) south of Birmingham city centre and the 16 service north of the city centre.
This map shows the Cross-City Bus corridor running from Longbridge to Hamstead, with 17 route sections. The route connects Longbridge, Kings Norton, Kings Heath, Edgbaston, Birmingham city centre, Witton, and Hamstead.

Why it's happening
These changes will speed up existing bus services and make them more reliable. By improving the reliability of buses, we can also look at introducing new longer services where you won’t need to change buses in Birmingham.
