Ends: Ongoing
Last updated: 12 June 2025

What’s happening?
Sprint is a bus priority corridor that will link Walsall with the centre of Birmingham, Solihull and Birmingham Airport - joining the A34 with the A45 to create one continuous bus route.
Sprint will bring benefits for all bus passengers: providing more reliable, regular and predictable journey times, connecting our region and protecting our environment too.
A milestone project, Sprint is being delivered by Transport for West Midlands and forms part of the region-wide ambition to improve the public transport experience.
Solihull Town Centre
Improvement works to bus shelters in Solihull Town Centre are continuing this summer.
From Tuesday 17 June 2025, National Express service 73 will move back to bus stop SM located on Station Road opposite John Lewis.
National Express service 72 & Platinum service X2 will continue to use temporary stop SA2 which is located in front of Turtle Bay.
Buses will still run through the Town Centre in both directions but there will be temporary signals controlling the exit to the car parking spaces on Station Road which may slightly delay bus journeys in this area.
Please check this page regularly for the latest updates on this scheme and allow more time for your journey when travelling.
